The 2017 ACM-ICPC Asia Hong Kong Regional Contest

Sponsored by ICPC Foundation, AIM Tech and JetBrains, COMP is going to co-host the 2017 ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Asia Hong Kong Regional Contest on 18 – 19 November at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The 2-day competition will take place in COMP’s Integrated Computing Lab which is well equipped with high performance facilities and powerful backbone network, and can accommodate over a hundred users with intensive computing activities simultaneously. Around 144 university students from the Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau have formed 48 teams to join the competition. Winning teams from regional contests will advance to the World Finals to be held in Beijing, China in April 2018.

The ACM-ICPC is a multi-tier, team-based, programming competition operating under the auspices of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). The contest fosters creativity, teamwork, and innovation in building new software programs, and enables students to test their ability to perform under pressure. It is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious programming contest in the world.
