COMP Research Open Week 2017
Following the success of the COMP Research Open Day in the past few years, we organized the COMP Research Open Week from 26 – 31 May this year, not only to further enhance our impact on technology and societal development but also strengthen our leading position in multidisciplinary research. Over 200 guests and visitors were attracted to this open house event.
On 26 May, the Opening Ceremony was officiated by Ir Prof. Alex WAI, Vice President (Research Development) of PolyU, Mr Victor LAM, JP, Deputy Government Chief Information Officer (Infrastructure and Operations), The Government of the HKSAR, and Dr Winnie TANG, JP, Chairman, Esri China (Hong Kong) Limited and Co-Chairman of Steering Committee, Smart City Consortium.
The COMP Research Open Week 2017 introduced and showcased our prominent research with demonstration of projects, covering different themes including Big Data, Cyber Security, Smart IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, etc. It provided an excellent platform for our alumni, staff, students, as well as members of external institutions and industrial partners to exchange ideas, share insights and experience, and explore collaboration opportunities.
