Mr Chung Wai Kit Tony Starting as a network engineer after graduation, Mr Chung has now become Senior Vice President, Engineering & Operations of SpeedCast International Ltd, a listed company in the Australia Securities Exchange. He is leading the engineering and operations team for the Asia Pacific region and has contributed to the IPO process as well as other business aspects. Mr Chung is also serving as one of the mentors in the Computing Mentorship Programme; providing our students with career advice. |
Dr Gu Shuhang After graduation from PolyU, Dr Gu joined the Computer Vision Lab at ETH Zurich in Switzerland and carried on his research in low-level vision. Starting from February 2020, he will work as a Lecturer in the School of Electrical and Information Engineering at the University of Sydney in Australia. |
Ms Ihensekhien Lam Siu Han Silvia Ms Ihensekhien is one of the few female leaders in the shipping eCommerce industry in Hong Kong. She is a role model for our graduates that a computing professional can drive business value through streamlining business operations and providing insights to business directions. |
Dr Lam Hang Yat Abraham Dr. Lam established MEGA Automation Ltd. and Shenzhen FUSQUARE Technology Ltd prior to and after his PhD graduation. He is keen to apply cutting-edge technologies to green buildings and smart cities. He was awarded the Greater Bay Area (GBA) Youth Leader in 2018 for his outstanding performance and leadership. He has been very supportive of PolyU and the Department of Computing. He has likewise actively participated in various social services. |
Mr Lau Shiu Fung Mr Lau suffered from a rare disease - Spinal Muscular Atrophy. He needs to live with his wheelchair since Form 3. Yet, he believed technologies could help improving disabilities’ lives. During his studies at PolyU, he actively participated in extra-curricular activities and received various awards and scholarships. He received the PolyU Micro Fund to develop a mobile app called "WheelMan" for disabled people and won under the "World Citizen" category in the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2016. Mr Lau is the only disabled research graduate in our Department in recent years and he is definitely a role model for other unfortunates. |
