It aims to produce graduates with good fundamental computing concepts, sound intellectual and practical skills, and the ability to creatively apply computing and related technologies to information processing in such areas as business, industry and the public sector. Here are the characteristics of the programme:

  • It features a rich set of electives that cover real-life applications, such as Biometrics, Data Mining, Multimedia, E-Commerce, Internet and Security, Workflow, Logistics, Finance and Mobile Computing;
  • It offers a study pathway option that leads to a double degree in Computing and Geomatics;
  • It offers students an option to graduate with the BSc(Hons) degree with a Major in Computing and a Minor in Geomatics (Geo-Information Technology) or choose from many other minors offered by the University; and
  • Students with backgrounds in Arts, Science or Business can apply.

Graduates can become programmers, system developers and software engineers, sales engineers or webmasters. Our graduates find employment opportunities in such sectors as the government, software houses, e-commerce, banking, finance, public facilities and freight forwarding.
