Overview
- A balanced curriculum that covers technology, management and business, with strong emphasis on computing techniques and applications, and software design and development skills in the business sector, such as logistics.
- Minor option: students can opt to graduate with a Minor in any discipline, and by taking more credits, they can graduate with double minors in two other disciplines.
- Students with backgrounds in Arts, Science or Business can apply.
Programme Structure
- Year One: fundamental knowledge, laying the foundation for university study, a taste of the broad discipline.
- Year Two: basic computing and IT concepts, underlying technologies, business, accounting and management concepts.
- Year Three: a broadening year featuring various aspects of computing skills and knowledge of enterprise information systems.
- Final Year: specialisation in areas such as Information System Management, Audit & Control, Decision Support, Knowledge and Project Management, Business Process Management, Logistics and Workflow.
Career Prospects
BSc(Hons) in Enterprise Information Systems graduates can take up such technical positions as programmers, system analysts, system developers, software engineers and system administrators, and less technical positions including technical sales and sales engineers, project managers, web administrators and web services designers.
