• A Higher Diploma or an Associate Degree in Computing Studies, Software Engineering, Systems Analysis, Information Systems or Mathematics, Statistics and Computing from PolyU, or a similar qualification at an appropriate level from another tertiary institution; OR
• A Higher Diploma or an Associate Degree in science or engineering from PolyU with substantial coverage of computing subjects such as Computer Programming, Computer Organization and Data Communication, or a similar qualification at an appropriate level from another tertiary institution; OR
• A pass in the Part I Examination of the British Computer Society (BCS).

The Department may consider credit transfers for Year One subjects based on the previous study of successful applicants.
