Who should pursue an MSc degree in Information Technology?
This programme is intended for Engineering or Science graduates, who are normally expected to have an Honours degree in Engineering, Science, Technology or equivalent.

What is MSc in Information Technology about?
Designed for professionals with Engineering or Science backgrounds, our MSc in Information Technology programme provides in-depth knowledge in IT and its usage within an organisation. Whether or not you have studied IT before, you will still gain valuable skills in solving real-life business problems with IT. Learning is based on projects and actual case studies for you to apply fundamental theories in the real world context.

What modes of teaching are available?
Regular mode students who not able to attend classes for an extended period can apply to study subjects available in CyberU mode and be subject to the credit fee for CyberU subjects. However, students are normally expected not to obtain more than 30% of their credit requirement (assessed at the time of admission) for the award of study in CyberU mode.

What is the structure of the Programme?

*Students shall select electives up to 6 credits or 25% (whichever the less) of the total credit requirement from other departments for completion.

How much do they cost?
Regular Mode - HK$2,950 per credit (HK$3,335 per credit for non-local students from 2011-12 onwards)

Non-local students taking CyberU subjects - HK$3,335 per credit from 2011-12 onwards
