As an application-driven academic department, COMP strives to transfer its knowledge, expertise and technologies to the marketplace and to benefit the economy and society.

We have provided numerous consultancy services to different parties like non-governmental organizations and external industries, services include professional training, technology licensing, project management, performance testing and market trend analysis. Through technology transfer partnerships, organizations can fulfill technical staffing needs, create innovative products and services, leverage R&D capacities and gain access to our cutting-edge technology products, increase ROI by integrating our expertise in research with business practice.

To facilitate our students to apply their technology skills and computing knowledge to the society, COMP offers opportunities for students to work in private companies and public organization, students can participate in a placement programme, community service learning and industrial final year project.
