International research collaborations represent an important drive for the Department to extend its influence and contributions to the international research community. The Department promotes active networking among researchers across the world to foster synergistic collaborations in the rapidly changing landscape of computing. In addition to our staff visiting world-renowned research institutes to establish collaborative research and exchanges, each year the Department also invites distinguished visitors.

As a result, the Department is not only able to participate in networks of research activities but also to establish strategic partnerships. Some of our international collaborators include Microsoft Research Asia, IBM Almaden Research Center, Cisco, Nokia, University of Cambridge, University of British Columbia and University of London, and others.
