Research Laboratories
To support these key areas of research and development, the Department has established four research laboratories with the following objectives:

• To undertake world-class research and make major advances in knowledge in strategic areas identified.
• To encourage academics and industry to actively collaborate in applied research that matches the needs of industry.
• To promote active interactions and collaboration among world-renowned academics and research institutes through collaborative activities such as visitors' programmes, seminar series, joint publications, conferences, etc.
• To serve an important role in training new researchers and students through activities such as postdoctorate, MPhil, and PhD programmes.
