Ph.D. in Computing Science from the University of Glasgow, U.K. During his study in the UK, he was awarded the Glasgow University Postgraduate Scholarship by Glasgow University and the Overseas Research Scheme Award by the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals of the Universities of the United Kingdom. After his doctoral graduation, Dr. Chan was awarded the Royal Society Fellowship by the Royal Society of the U.K and the Marie Curie Fellowship by the European Union. He also read Product Strategy in Sloan School of Management of MIT, USA. He was awarded the "Ten Outstanding Young Digi Persons" in 2000 by the ITSD of HKSAR Government, Hong Kong Productivity Council, and Junior Chamber plus five IT Asset Awards for the Greater China Region in the company that he now serves.
