Our recent graduate, Mr Lau Hiu Fung won a Gold Award in the Hong Kong RFID Awards U-21 RFID Awards (Undergraduate Stream)

Our recent graduate, Mr Lau Hiu Fung who work in the Advanced Enterprise Infrastructure Lab, has won a Gold Award in the Hong Kong RFID Awards U-21 RFID Awards (Undergraduate Stream) Competition with his final year project "RFID/SMS-based Flight Information and Advertisements System" (supervisor: Dr Henry Chan). This is one of the major RFID competitions in Hong Kong organized by GS1 Hong Kong. Due to very close performance, two first prizes were given for the undergraduate stream this year. Hiu Fung won one of them for our department and he will receive the Gold Award in an award presentation ceremony in November. Previously, his final year project also won a Gold Award in the 2009 Amway Pan-Pearl River Delta Region Universities IT Project Competition.
Besides Hiu Fung, two teams of COMP students working in the Advanced Enterprise Infrastructure Lab (supervised by Dr Henry Chan and Ms Cupid Chow) also participated in the competition and they will receive the Certificate of Merits from GS1.
