COMP stands for Community Outreach Merit Program. Its purpose is to acknowledge the efforts of our students who have been actively involved in community service. We encourage our students to serve the community by contributing their IT professional knowledge in community service.

All-IT related community services are counted towards COMP, for example,

• Teaching in summer workshops
• Participate in community service tours organized by the Department of Computing
• Working in IT projects for Non-Government Organizations (NGOs)
