The 3rd IEEE International Conference on Smart Computing (SMARTCOMP 2017)
Hosted by COMP, the 3rd IEEE International Conference on Smart Computing (SMARTCOMP 2017) was successfully held at Hotel Icon in Hong Kong from 29 to 31 May. The 3-day premier conference on smart computing consisted of three keynote sessions, five workshops, five parallel technical session, a panel session, a WIP/Demo poster session and a PhD Forum which attracted over 140 participants from different parts of the world.
We were honoured to have Ir. Prof. Alex Wai, Vice President (Research Development) of PolyU and Dr David Chung, JP, Under Secretary of the Innovation and Technology Bureau, HKSAR Government to deliver speech at the opening ceremony. This year, with the theme of “Smart Living Through Computing”, the Conference focused on smart computing innovations in all different technology aspects contributing to smart living. Apart from the conference activities, “Best Paper Award”, “Best Community Paper Award” and “Best Paper - Runner Up” were presented to the three papers with the highest reviewing scores given by the Technical Program Committee members.
