COMP student won the Bronze Award in China Pan-Pearl River Delta Region University IT Project Competition 2017
Further to winning the Championship in the 2017 Pan-Pearl River Delta Region University IT Project Competition (University Stream, HKSAR), COMP Student Mr Kingson Wan competed among 92 teams from different provinces in China and won the Bronze Award in the 2017 China Pan-Pearl River Delta Region University IT Project Competition on 3–6 July held in Hong Kong with his project “Virtual and Augmented Reality Development: VR Magic Barrage Battle Game Development”.
This is a project of Magic Battle Virtual Reality Game Development with VR head-mounted device. To assist the control in the game, Neural Network algorithm in machine learning is used for recognizing the players’ gesture. Players can design and use their own gesture to create magic in the game, which can provide a fantasy game experience.
