COMP graduate won the APICTA Awards 2016 - Tertiary Student Project
It is our great pleasure to announce that COMP graduate, Mr Peter Ho Man-fai, won the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA Awards) - Tertiary Student Project at the 16th APICTA in Taipei from 2 to 5 December 2016.
This year, representatives from 16 countries and regions in Asia Pacific participated in the competition. Nominees were rigorously assessed by a team of judges of the highest caliber drawn from government, academia and the industry from each of the APICTA member economies. Peter outperformed other competitors with his project “KinectGarten” and finally attained the Winner Award under the category of Tertiary Student Project.
KinectGarten is an interactive learning and homework application for young children which aims to motivate youngsters to learn via digital games with body movements and speech. It also enables teachers to apply an educational methodology with adaptive learning and customisable homework content.
The APICTA Awards is an international awards programme which aims to increase ICT awareness in the community and assist in bridging the digital divide.
Congratulations to Peter for such achievement!
