How to Submit
Paper Submissions
Authors are required to
submit an abstract of approximately 150-200 words by
Monday, June 01, 2009. Keywords need to
be assigned to the submission and be selected from a single area: DB or IR or KM. The
deadline for submitting manuscripts is
Monday, June 08, 2009. Unless otherwise indicated, all abstract and paper submissions are due before the
indicated deadline date has passed everywhere on the planet, which
means by 23:59:59 Apia Samoa (i.e., GMT-11) time on the date indicated. The
CIKM 2009 submission site is already open and accepting submissions. Only papers submitted via the conference system will be considered for review.
Submissions
should be aligned with the topics identified in the Call for Papers and
must be in English. Submissions should describe original research that
has not been previously published and is not being currently considered
for publication in any other forum. During the review process,
submissions cannot be submitted to any other forum without first being
withdrawn from consideration at CIKM. Submissions that violate
this policy will be rejected without review.
The review process is
double-blind. Therefore, you must anonymize your submission. This means that all submissions must contain no information identifying
the author(s) or their organization(s): do not put the author(s) names
or affiliation(s) at the start of the paper, anonymize citations to and
mentions of your own prior work in the paper, and do not include
funding or other acknowledgments in papers submitted for review.
Submissions that violate this policy may be rejected without review.
Please ensure that your submission does not exceed 10 pages in length and is formatted using the
ACM templates:
using the "Option 2" style. This is also the style that will be
required for final papers. Papers must be submitted as pdf files.
To submit a paper, go to the
CIKM 2009 submission site.
You'll need to create an account to submit your paper. If you are
already registered as a reviewer for CIKM 2009, then you can submit
your paper through this account.
Authors
will be notified by July 25, 2009 of the outcome of the review process.
Camera ready copies of accepted papers will be due August 15, 2009.
If the submission is accepted for publication, at least one
author per contribution is required to register and attend the
conference to present the work.
