Each accepted paper must be accompanied by ONE registration. An author of multiple papers can use the same form. An author presenting a conference and workshop paper should pay both conference and workshop registration fees. For each accepted paper, at least ONE author must register on or before the early-bird deadline.

Tutorial registration includes tutorial notes and coffee breaks.
Workshop registration includes electronic proceedings and refreshments for all breaks.
To qualify for member rates, you must be a member of ACM, ACM SIGIR, ACM SIGWEB. There are discounts for students and ACM/SIG student members. You will need a valid ACM/SIG ID to qualify for ACM member rates. A student will need a valid Full-time Student ID with current registration clearly marked or a letter from their department head certifying student status. Full payment must be made. Partial payments and purchase orders for future payment will not be accepted. If you pay by telegraphic transfer, your registration will be regarded as incomplete until we have received full payment of your outstanding registration fees.

Conference dates. Refund will be made in accordance with the following
For cancellation made on or before 31 August 2009, 10% of the total registration fee will be forfeited.
For cancellation made on or before 20 October 2009, 20% of the total registration fee will be forfeited.
For cancellation made after 20 October 2009, no refund will be made.
No refund for authors of accepted papers will be honored in any case.
For partial refund in registration fees resulting from registration changes (e.g., changing from student non-member to student member), a processing fee of USD 30 will be charged.

All refunds will be processed and mailed following the CIKM 2009 Conference dates.
Generally, visas are not required for visitors from most countries. The length of allowed visa-free stay in Hong Kong varies from 14 days to 3 months. All visitors to Hong Kong must have a valid travel document, endorsed where necessary for Hong Kong. These should be valid for at least one month beyond your planned departure from Hong Kong, and in the case of certain nationalities, at least six months.
