Best Paper Awards

CIKM 2009 will bestow one Best Multidisciplinary Paper Award and one Best Student Paper Award. The selection procedure is as follows.
 
The Best Multidisciplinary Paper Award
PC chairs will nominate 6 candidates of the best multidisciplinary paper award, 2 from each of DB/IR/KM tracks. The award selection committee will consist of the 2 award committee co-chairs and 3 keynote speakers (subject to agreed by the keynote speakers).   The winner will receive US$1,000 grant and a plaque.
 
The Best Student Paper Award
PC chairs will nominate 6 candidates of the best student paper award, 2 from each of DB/IR/KM tracks. The award selection committee will consist of the 2 award committee co-chairs and 3 keynote speakers (subject to agreed by the keynote speakers).   The winner will receive US$750 grant and a plaque.  The remaining 5 runner-ups will receive US$500 grant as student travel grants.
